North Dakota Metal Building Insulation

Despite the recent oil boom, agriculture is still North Dakota’s top industry. It is the most rural of the states, in that farms cover over 90 percent of its land. North Dakota grows more durum wheat than any other state, which is predominantly used to make most of the pasta we eat in America. It also leads all states in the production of barley, flaxseed, sunflower seeds and honey.

The Peace Garden State is also one of the coldest states. The western parts of North Dakota, as well as South Dakota, are the windiest areas of the United States.

So how does a farmer maintain and protect his animals, crops and machinery? Properly insulating his metal building is a good place to start.

Very happy with my purchase here. I was lost as far as how to insulate my metal building. I almost pulled the trigger on just doing foam boards you buy Home Depot, but found this company through a colleague.

The price for their insulation was about the same as it would have been for the foam boards but the R-value was better and it was all custom-cut for my building.

Installing the batts was a learning process, especially for the roof. You can certainly do it as a one-man band, but it’s going to take some time and little tricks to make it work.

The insulation is very high quality, and I can absolutely tell a difference inside my shop!
